December 2021 Gazette

The winner of our December cover competition was Harry Teggarty, and his beautiful photograph encapsulates the theme, “All is Calm”. The runner up, and selection of our favourite entries, can be found inside.

Inside our December issue, The Archbishop of Armagh, and Archbishop of Dublin have written Christmas Messages exclusively for the Gazette.

Revd Stephen Farrell gives us a unique insight into a Rectory Christmas, while Revd Christopher West gives his opinion on the most popular Christmas carols, and why they are not all popular with him!

Paul McFadden meets Revd Canon Dr Will Murphy, whose varied ministry has included roles as chaplain of the Orange Order, the Maze Prison and many years ministering to the deaf. The Very Revd Tim Wright, Chair of the Council for Mission, talks to us about the important work of the Council, and how all mission is local, starting in our parish churches.

The devotional comes from Revd Paul Arbuthnot and there are all the usual features including Mother’s Union, Liturgical Notes, Clergy news and Diocesan Focus. All this and much more in your December Gazette.
