Our December issue is out now and we are delighted to announce the winner of our Christmas Cover competition is Rev’d Nicholas Dark with his beautiful photograph of Magheragall Parish Church.

In turbulent times, the Archbishop of Armagh, and the Archbishop of Dublin have both written exclusively for the Gazette, with their messages for Advent.

Inside we meet Gertie Campbell, a parishioner in Magheragall, half a century after a terrorist bomb devastated her family.

The MindMatters conference was a great success, when held in Dublin recently. We have reports from the event which saw an address from the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Diocesan Focus this month comes from Dublin and Glendalough, where Lynn Glanville reports on all the activities that exceeded pre-Covid levels.

Christopher West argues that we should mind our language this Christmas, especially around the issue of homelessness. He says that hope is a passion for what is possible, and we must hope and work towards a society where homelessness statistics are reduced or eradicated.
